The City Watch, an unlikely group of misfits, finds the guts to save the world, surprising even themselves in the process. The series pits trolls, werewolves, wizards and other improbable heroes against an evil plot to resurrect a great dragon, which would lead to the destruction of life as they know it. Inspired by many of Sir Terry Pratchett’s famous “Discworld” creations including the captain of The City Watch Sam Vimes, the last scion of nobility Lady Sybil Ramkin, the naïve but heroic Carrot, the mysterious Angua, and the ingenious forensics expert Cheery together with Pratchett’s iconic characterization of Death.

As a seriously avid Terry Pratchett fan, I am disappointed with this rendition of what I can only call a patchwork of his ideas which do not in any way accurately reflect the content of his work in any real way. Apart from the obvious 'politically correct' statements these shows are trying to make, which do the fanbase no favours, I believe they have lost the original intent of Terry's work; i.e. to bring a little, if somewhat irreverent, humour into people's lives. While I have spent good money buying as many of Terry's works in print or video as I can put my hands on, I will not waste money on this rubbish.
